USAA Breaks into Top 100 of FORTUNE 500®

SAN ANTONIO – For the first time, USAA appeared in the top 100 of the FORTUNE 500 ®, ranking No. 100 in the annual list released this morning.

“Our commitment to members is the key to USAA’s success,” said USAA CEO Stuart Parker. “Since 1922, we have had the honor to serve America’s military community. This ranking is notable recognition of all USAA employees and a testament to their tireless efforts in meeting the financial needs of generations of military families.”

In its annual Report to Members, USAA reported revenue of $30 billion in 2017, assets of more than $155 billion and net income of $2.4 billion. It also returned $1.5 billion to its members in the form of distributions, dividends, and bank rebates and rewards. USAA has more than 12.4 million members and employs 33,000 people worldwide.

Earlier this year, USAA ranked No. 20 on the FORTUNE^® World’s Most Admired Companies® and was recognized by Ethisphere Institute as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies® for the third consecutive year.

Companies are ranked by total revenues for their respective fiscal years, incorporated and operations in the U.S. and file financial statements with a government agency.
