USAA Life Insurance Company Receives Highest Overall Scores from J.D. Power for Life Insurance and Annuities

SAN ANTONIO -- (November 5, 2021) USAA achieved the highest overall scores* from J.D. Power in both the 2021 U.S. Individual Life Insurance Study and 2021 U.S. Individual Annuity Study. With overall scores of 886 for life insuance and 882 for annuities, USAA significantly outpaced the industry averages of 776 and 802, respectively, and scored above 21 rank-eligible life insurance and 12 rank-eligible annuity providers. This is the eighth year in a row that USAA has achieved the highest score for life insurance, and third year in a row for annuities. *While the company’s life insurance and annuities are available to the public, USAA is not eligible to be officially ranked due to USAA’s overall membership requirements.

The J.D. Power 2021 U.S. Individual Life Insurance Study and 2021 U.S. Individual Annuity Study measure the experiences of customers of the largest life insurance and annuity companies in the United States. The studies measure overall customer satisfaction based on five factors: product offerings, price, statements, interaction (website, call center, and agent/advisor) and communication, to arrive at an overall Customer Satifaction Index (CSI). Both studies were fielded from June through July 2021.
