USAA Celebrates the Military Community as “Masters of the Air” Takes Flight

USAA is offering exclusive experiences to members of the military community with a sweepstakes, and advance screenings of the highly anticipated Apple Original series based on the true story of the 8th Air Force and the 100th Bomb Group in World War II

As a company founded by members of the military and for the military, USAA is always looking for new and innovative ways to serve those who served our country. In a first of its kind move for USAA, the brand is joining forces with “Masters of the Air” to provide exclusive experiences for the military community in celebration of the highly anticipated, nine-episode Apple Original limited series.

Those experiences include hosting hundreds of military for advance screenings at national landmarks across the country and a national sweepstakes with 100 prize packs including Apple AirPods and an Apple TV+ subscription.

For invited military in select cities, USAA will host hundreds of members of the military community (active-duty, veterans, and their families) at two exclusive screening events to watch the first episode before the national premiere on Jan. 26.

The screenings will take place in state-of-the-art theaters at the National WWII Museum (New Orleans, LA) on Jan. 19 and the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force (Dayton, OH) on Jan. 25. Each screening location houses WWII-era war planes, including B-17 bombers, adding to the unrivaled viewing experience for military guests.

“Masters of the Air” follows the 100th Bombardier Divisions’ contribution to paving the way to an allied victory in WWII. In recognition of the “100th” - USAA is offering a sweepstakes to give away 100 “prize-packs” that include one (1) pair of Apple AirPods 2nd Generation and a two-month subscription to Apple TV+. Members of the military community who want to enter the sweepstakes can enter here. The website is also home to special behind-the-scenes content of the series.

Starting today, members of the military community will see a co-branded creative spot encouraging tune-in to the series and entry into the sweepstakes. The creative weaves together recurring themes from the series, including courage, honor, service, and sacrifice, all of which are core to USAA’s values.

“Masters of the Air” hails from the executive producers behind “Band of Brothers” and “The Pacific,” Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman, is based on Donald L. Miller’s book of the same name, is scripted by John Orloff, and follows the men of the 100th Bomb Group (the “Bloody Hundredth”). “Masters of the Air'' will premiere globally on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes of its nine-episode season on Friday, January 26, followed by one new episode every Friday through March 15, 2024.
